Free Friday: Abu Lahab – He Who Is Illuminated With the Brightest Light Will Cast the Darkest Shadow

A very late Friday night post brings to you, Abu Lahab,  one of the most violent and harshest black metal bands, named after the man who dared to question the words of  the prophet Muhammed.

There aren’t much info on the artist, other than he is based in Morocco and has released a couple of album for free.

Abu Lahab is a blend between power electronics, noise and rough black metal. It uses the rough sounds of power electronics and noise to emphasize the already grim, dirty sound of old-school BM.  It is a well made album, a bit short and some songs, (From Dead Stars Wast Mine Image Made), are a bit lacking and not as strong as God-Destroyer! God-Begetter!, which is by far the best song on the album. You should definitively download the album just for that song alone!

I. Self to Self over Self’s Abyss
II. God-Destroyer! God-Begetter!
III. From Dead Stars Wast Mine Image Made
IIII. Meet Me Beneath the Black Noon Sun
V. Dissolve Amid The Endless Years
VI. Ring Loud Thy Fatal Carillon

Download the album/Last.FM/Pure Volume

PS. It seems, that unfortenetly, the albums download link is broken, and haven’t found another… If Abu Lahab, by any chance sees my post and provides a link, I’ll happily link to it, or if you want I can upload my files. Tell me in the comments if so.
